Cairn Rescue USA offers 3 types of membership: Regular Memberships, Lifetime Memberships and Honorary Memberships. It is not necessary to be a member to volunteer with us, but with the exception of our foster homes who get to elect one of our 7 directors, only our members can vote on the election of directors and honorary members.

Regular members pay annual dues of $25. The membership year for Regular Members starts January 1 and ends December 31.

Lifetime Members pay one-time dues of $1,000 either in one lump sum at the time of admission or in 4 equal quarterly installments over the 12-month period following admission. Lifetime Members have their name listed on our newsletter in recognition of their generous contribution.

Honorary Members are nominated by the Board or by at least 5 members in good standing and are elected for life at the Annual Meeting of the Members in December. An Honorary Membership is intended to recognize volunteers who have made significant contributions to advance CRUSA’s activities, purposes and goals, including without limitation, by fostering, transporting, pulling dogs from shelters, calling applicants’ references, doing home inspections, volunteering in CRUSA’s various committees, etc. Any CRUSA volunteer, whether or not such person is a Regular Member, may be nominated for honorary membership. A maximum of 10 Honorary Members may be elected per year.
